NVChad Beginner Guide (Fedora-focused)
Prerequisites
- Fedora package manager (
dnf) - Git
- Neovim 0.9+
- Nerd Font (JetBrainsMono Nerd Font recommended)
Install required packages
sudo dnf install -y git neovimInstall JetBrainsMono Nerd Font
sudo dnf install -y jetbrains-mono-fontsAfter installation:
- Open Konsole → Settings → Edit Profile → Appearance
- Select JetBrainsMono Nerd Font
- Restart the terminal
Backup any existing Neovim config
mv ~/.config/nvim ~/.config/nvim.bak
mv ~/.local/share/nvim ~/.local/share/nvim.bak
mv ~/.cache/nvim ~/.cache/nvim.bakInstall NvChad
git clone https://github.com/NvChad/starter ~/.config/nvimLaunch Neovim (stay open until plugins finish installing):

- Modes: Normal (default), Insert (
i), Visual (v), Command (:) - Leader key: Space
- Keys are pressed in sequence, not simultaneously
